My kid met the Mayor, and all she got was this crappy T-Shirt
My daughter is in pre-kindergarten, and they had a little field trip today to meet the Mayor at some press conference. They got to see him for like 5 minutes and then left, but not before leaving with a parting gift!
What was the gift, you’re wondering?
A Celebrate Erie T-shirt….FROM 2008. So apparently the city had some old junk to get rid of and felt that it was a great idea to give it some kids. Now, I’m not being ungrateful - they could have came home with nothing. But COME ON - Give the kids a lollipop or something, not last year’s T-shirt that you had lying in a closet in City Hall somewhere. Jesus Christ Joe, you’re really having a bad month huh?

I remember running into Sinnott at Roar at the Shore back in ‘08 - quite an interesting fellow and I loved his attire of old, faded blue jeans, a cutoff t-shirt, and a leather vest. HA.
