Erie - Land of Third Rate Thieves

Sunday morning I went out to my car (parked in front of my wife’s car, in our 1 car width driveway) and noticed that my little MP3 player was missing.

Now, I left my driver’s side door unlocked, so I understand that’s my fault. It would be pretty hard to misplace it in the car, as it was attached to an FM tuner and usually is all the time. I look around and notice that the cord for it was still there though - this cord is required to charge the damn thing and hook it up to a PC. This MP3 player was about $25, refurbished and the screen was scratched to hell. Basically it was literally worthless, especially without the cord. So some dumb fucker decided “Hey, I’ll walk all the way up the driveway and look in this dude’s car. Oh, an MP3 player! Sweet! Let’s take it but leave the cord that says ‘Sandisk’ on it because there’s no way I’ll need that.”

“Oh, and why bother looking in the center console where the $200 TomTom GPS is. I just need this piece of shit MP3 player with no cord!”

So here’s to you, dumbshit MP3 player thief! Enjoy listening to never ending tracks of video game music and 80’s ballads for the 10 hours of battery life you’ve got. Make sure you pick up a new cord too you prick. Me? I’ll just go buy the next model up for about the same price with more storage, and get a screen cover this time.

Fucking noob thieves. Next they’ll steal my rusted mailbox, forcing me to buy a plastic one that won’t rust.

Edit: Just bought a Sandisk Sansa View 8gb with a bigger screen for $48.00 after shipping. Thanks Woot!

Well, I never said I’d leave it in my car! Or at least where they could get it easily :)
