MotiveGrounds started on a crappy OpenBSD web server in my bedroom, cementing my status as a geek master (well, a good looking one though!). The site gets it’s name from an ex-girlfriend from WAY long ago, who wanted another word for “reason” when writing some paper (I’m surprised she didn’t stab herself accidently with the pen). I told her “Motive, Grounds, or Motivation.” I think you can figure out the rest, but I will tell you that she was dead set for like 10 minutes that it was a real word. The name has since stuck, and I’ll probably get sued one day by her when I hit the big time with this website.
I’m 27 years old, married to a hot red-headed mama with one daughter and one on the way. Most of my posts are just me ranting about stuff that either pisses me off, or things that I just can’t believe people would say or do. Or, like my archives at the old site, stories with horrible MSPaint drawings about the strange and funny things that have happened to me growing up. For instance, my sister once tied me up to a doghouse with the dog’s chain, and made me act like a dog, and made me get stung by a wasp. But I was only six or so, and was probably under the influence of Sugar Smacks.
